When it all began, I struggled with the lures I was using. The quality wasn’t there and they just weren’t holding up. I was spending a small fortune on lures that only lasted a few casts.
So, about 10 years ago, I decided to make my own buckstails. I needed better quality and durability for the inland lakes in Michigan.
And they worked! So well, in fact that I have landed some beast-size muskie, pike and walleye with them. My friends heard my stories and wanted to try them too. They also regularly caught giants, and always remarked at how well the lures hold up.
So, I decided to start selling them for everyone to enjoy and succeed with!
After getting a limit in walleye one Sunday morning in late October. My fishing partner talked me into searching for a muskie.
While casting along a timber covered shoreline I had a huge tiger follow to the boat multiple times and couldn’t believe the sheer size of that apex predator.
I’ve been hooked ever since, landing multiple fish over fifty inches and countless muskies of all sizes, fishing the Great Lakes region – from Canada to Indiana, Michigan to Minnesota – on a regular basis. I even fished the PMTT in 2020 and made it to the finals!
