The One that Didn’t Get Away
This monster, 39-inch musky wasn’t going without a fight.
I was using a variation of this 9-inch bucktail lure on a cloudy November afternoon (I think I had the day off work, but may have called in?)
After a five minute battle, and a few moments where I thought I may lose it, my hand-tied bait did the job perfectly. That was fun!

Fishing for pike on “the lake that has no pike”
While muskie fishing the lake with no pike of course we catch a nice pike.
Everyone said it didn’t have any pike in it. Even the old timers who have fished here for years.
Then I showed up with my secret weapon… an 8-inch inline spinnerbait.
Look what we landed!
There are, in fact, pike in this lake, if you have the right lure to get them out of hiding.

Gary’s Fall Fatty
I’ve been going fishing with my brother for my entire life. It’s one of my favorite things to do.
On this cloudy day in November, we headed out to one of our favorite spots, with our favorite style of lures, freshly tied in my workshop.
It only took a few casts to get this fat musky on the line. He landed it like a pro!
